How to Apply for Erasmus Mundus Scholarship?

Many students often approach me with questions about how to apply for the Erasmus Mundus scholarship and what the application procedure entails. While it may seem daunting, the process is actually quite straightforward. Allow me to break it down into three simple steps:

  1. Find a course
  2. Gathered the required documents
  3. Apply

Find a course

Firstly, you need to screen out the courses you want to apply. The question is how? use the Erasmus Mundus Catalog, I have attached the link. It is an old link, but most of the courses are going to be the same so you will get an idea. In addition, when the admission starts usually in September you will not see certain courses as they will appear late and they have later deadlines. So keep in mind not every course has the same deadline.

Tip: Create an Excel file to keep track of the courses you want to apply for along with their respective deadlines. This will prove to be immensely helpful.

Required documents

Every course has its own set of required documents, so it's crucial to check the specific requirements for each course and prepare accordingly. Generally, the following documents are commonly requested:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Bachelor's Transcript
  • CV
  • Motivation Letter (most important)
  • Passport
  • IELTS/ Any English language test/ English proficiency certificate
  • Proof of Residence
  • Letter of Recommendation
  • ID Picture
Tip: Although most universities accept the English proficiency certificate from your university, it's better to give IELTS as some program has a certain score for good English skills.

Apply

Lastly, take the leap and submit your applications. You may feel unprepared or doubt your capabilities, but trust me, give it your best shot. Whether you succeed or not, applying will either grant you the scholarship or provide valuable insights to improve yourself. So, what are you waiting for?

Remember, don't let self-doubt hold you back. Apply with confidence and seize this incredible opportunity.
